If you want to start a free blog then http://Blogger.com will be the best option because blogger blog are owned by Google. So it get indexed first.
If you want to start a self hosted blog then go for Wordpress.org. For this you nedd your own domain name hosting package. Get complete details in my blog:

Blogging is an excellent way to get the word out about your hobby.
What you can do is go to Blogger.com and get a free blog and then write up a post on your hobby and then use the blog search to find people with similar blogs and ask them what they think of your blog and to leave a comment.
If you keep on updating the posts you will end up getting search engine results on certain keywords within your subject and more and more people will see it.
You can build a nice little community this way!

Hi, i have a free wordpress blog. I have added the widgets that come in the widget section. But how do i add widgets that are from third parties such as clustrmaps? If free wordpress blogs don’t allow that, which free blog service allows that ?
