Adsense requires own website. are there other sites that pay for starting bloggers?

i want to create a free blog, but i am not sure which is the best do u have suggestions BESIDES BLOGGER.COM?

Blogger/Blogspot.
Wordpress.com is cool, but there is only certain things that you can do. Like your template for example, you cannot edit it, you have to use one of their templates… unless you want to pay 15 dollars for an upgrade that only lasts a year and after paying 15 dollars for it, you can only edit your header and background color.
Blogger you can make your own free templates and do whatever you want. They also have a cool customization tool, so if you are not a big HTML person you can edit your page a lot easier.

there are many blog sites where you can blog and make money such as http://www.blogger.com , http://www.wordpress.com , http://www.typepad.com , http://www.livejournal.com , http://www.movabletype.com and so on. they are all supported by advertising sites such as google adsense, bidvertiser, kontera content, amazon and so on.

starting a website or online magazine….and I cant really find any great themes…..im looking for wordpress themes or any other as long as its free….the first person with the best link to themes will be chosen

Note that I want actual poll to appear in my blog, rather than providing a link to the poll which forwards it to some polling website.

I have just the free blog on wordpress, but I don’t really like any of the free designs. I want to keep my blog with wordpress, but want a new design. Thanks
