Blogging:
You can start off by getting a free account at blogsites such as blogger.com. You can either concentrate on one topic for the whole blog and make lots of blogs, or you can have a mixed blog.
How to earn money from it:
Apply for a PPC ad account… such as google adsense, Bidvertiser, etc. They will provide you with a code you can put in the html format of your blog so you can have ads on your blog. When visitors to your blog click on your ads, you earn money.
Affiliate marketing:
You can also sign up for affiliate programs. You won’t need capital for this. All you have to do is to advertise their products on your blog (nice if the product is related to your blog topic), and when someone buys the product through your site, you earn a commission. One of the best affiliate programs is Clickbank.
Freelance writing:
Website owners usually hire writers so they can produce lots of original articles on their sites in shorter time. Content is very important to websites, so if you are going to have your own website, you have to put in lots of content. You can apply as a writer to these website owners, so you can earn cash from them. Usually though, they prefer writers with lower rates. If you want to hire writers for your website later on, writers from India and the Philippines are the best people to hire, because they’re okay with low rates.

Perhaps there is something I don’t understand about it. Maybe it’s because I don’t understand, because I have never done it before. Please explain in simple terms as if I was five years old how to start this so called “Blogging”. The word sounds funny, it sounds like it should be something dirty in Britain or something.

Have a look at some blogs on some different blogging sites and see what they are like, then sign up to a sight and just start blogging. To find lots of different sights just put blog into a search engine and see what comes up.

You should feed FrontPage into the garbage can or compactor. If you are making web pages with that piece of crap, then you’ll have nothing but problems getting your pages to be cross-browser compatible. You probably don’t know that servers also have to keep the FP extensions updated so FP web pages will work.
You will have to have a web site that allows use of PHP and a database.

Do any scripts exist that could let me just call the most recent blog posting?
I don’t want to have to go to the work of breaking everything down in header, footer, etc. because I’ve done it before and it’s a lot of work… I was hoping to have this for a website’s frontpage (I don’t mind having an archived news section that looks different).

Need to change my blog page from landscape page to poitrait. Help !

Blog came from web log. A blog is an internet journal. Your real question is what is the purpose of keeping a journal/diary?
Some do it because they like to write, others want their opinion heard, some feel if they write down what they did they will leave something for posterity to know how life was. Still others are writing out goals and their progression with the goals.

I love to write, and recently I have been reading a friends blog. It seems like fun, but I have no idea how to get into it. What are the most popular blog websites, and does yahoo have this option. Also, how do you get fans or readers to view your blog. Help would be greatly appreciated!
